I could spend an hour or so watching as the buses come and go
I could spend my whole day wandering the streets I missed while I was away
I could spend my whole night up on a roof looking at the lights down there below
but none of that feels quite the same no more

yeah none of that feels quite the same, maybe it's sad maybe it's a shame or maybe it's alright
cuz I went to the middle of the country I felt at peace and people loved me and I know now that home's a lot bigger than it seems

I could spend the year all broken and bent walking past your old apartment
and I could spend the next 3 years just wishing you were right back by my side
