drops of condensation forming on the foil wrapping of the peanut butter cups as they thaw
i keep em in the freezer and i eat em oh on warm summer nights as time rolls on
as time rolls on
across the train tracks
take me across the train tracks
oh, i watch the train as it comes and it goes
daffodils engulfing me with their scent and with their color
i don't know where to go
a field of grass, a field of clover bounce around but now we're older
i don't wanna go home, i don't wanna go home
i'm bouncing i don't wanna go home
across the train tracks
take me across the train tracks
oh, i watch the train as it comes and it goes

I Go Outside
02:23
|
|||
scratchy turtleneck i wear at the gallery
big paintings on the walls they're so tacky
one more year goes by and nothing changes
18 years go by and it's still the same
perfect grammar and ignoring all of my jokes
i need to go outside
i go outside i go outside i go out of my house and onto my street and into my town and out of my town and onto the bus and off of the bus
"excuse me miss, what street are we on?"
"I'm sorry sir, i have no idea"
as the philodendron dies slowly
not absorbing sunlight
there's no sunlight there's no sunlight there's no sunlight
1 year from now and i will be long gone
18 years from now we'll still be singing this song

may this year is rainy but i don't want it to end
something about the way we talk makes me wanna be best friends
i look at the sky most every night this time of year
it's the sort of thing that elicits the phrase "wishing u were here"
it happens when you look at something in the middle of the night
and then you look at the same thing later with no one by your side
and you feel the sunshine on your back as the morning comes around
i'm holding on too tight to all the pieces of my town
august this year will be crazy and i don't want it to start
i don't wanna think about what it'll feel like when we're apart
i try to go outside most every night this time of year
it's ok sometimes but would be better if you were here....

I Love Sleeping
02:08
|
|||
i love sleeping but i never know how to go to sleep
i always remember the smell of rotting fish and gasoline
polluted water calms you down but never let it touch your skin
and silhouettes of sweaty bodies makes me wonder where they've been
oh in the, oh in the....i forgot what i was gonna say
oh in the, oh in the, forgot what i was going to say
do you ever feel like you're gonna vomit, but in a good way?
(it comes with cities and with shade)
yeah i often feel like i'm gonna vomit but in a good way
(it comes with comfortable gazes)
